Privacy Policy

Plain-language summary: Just Yahtzee has no user accounts and collects no personal data of its own. All game progress, statistics, and settings are saved locally on your device. The app shows ads through Google AdMob; AdMob collects standard advertising data (Advertising ID, IP address, approximate location, device info) per its own privacy policy. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you are asked for ad-consent on first launch and can change it any time in Settings. An optional one-time purchase removes ads and is processed by Google Play.

1. Who we are

Just Yahtzee ("the app", "we", "us") is a free dice game for Android. The app is published by Mads Kristensen. For questions about this policy, contact thegeniusduke@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

The app itself does not collect, process, or transmit any of the following:

Personally identifiable information (name, email, address, phone number)
Account credentials of any kind
Precise location data (GPS)
Contacts, calendar, photos, or other device content
Behavioral or analytics data of our own

3. Information collected by third-party advertising

The app integrates Google AdMob to display interstitial (full-screen) ads between games once you have played a few games in a day. To serve and measure these ads, Google and its partners may collect:

Advertising ID (Google Advertising ID, resettable via your device settings)
IP address and approximate location derived from it
Device information: model, operating system, language, screen size
App information: package name, version, ad-load timestamps
Ad interaction data: which ads were shown, viewed, or clicked

This data is collected and processed by Google according to Google's Privacy Policy and the AdMob Privacy & messaging policy. We do not control what Google collects or how it uses the data, and we do not receive personally identifiable information from Google.

Consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland): on first launch in these regions the app shows a Google-certified consent message (Google UMP) asking whether you allow personalized ads. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy settings. If you decline you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized.

Removing ads: a one-time in-app purchase (see Section 6) removes all ads, after which the app makes no further AdMob ad requests. You can also reset or limit your Advertising ID at any time:

Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Reset advertising ID / Delete advertising ID

4. Information stored locally on your device

The app saves the following to local device storage so it persists between sessions:

Your statistics: games played, win rate against bots, high score, best Yahtzees
Your solo-play statistics: games played, highest score, average score, Yahtzee count
Your preferences (sound, haptics, strict-joker rules, large text, instant bot turns, auto-roll, best-pick hint, default difficulty)
Your "remove ads" purchase status and a daily counter of games played (so we honour the free-games limit)

This data never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time by resetting statistics in Settings or by uninstalling the app.

5. Network requests made by the app

The app makes the following network requests:

Google AdMob (to load and serve ads, unless ads have been removed by purchase): see Section 3.
Google Play Billing (only when you buy or restore "Remove ads"): to process the purchase. See Section 6.
Google Fonts (fonts.gstatic.com): the app may download its display fonts (Fraunces, Hanken Grotesk) on first launch and cache them. Google Fonts has its own privacy notice.

The app makes no other network requests. There is no app-side analytics, no telemetry, and no cloud-save sync.

6. In-app purchases

The app offers a single one-time purchase, "Remove ads", processed entirely by Google Play Billing. Payment and billing details are handled by Google Play; we do not receive or store your payment information. The purchase can be restored on your devices through Google Play. 7. Children's privacy

The app is intended for users aged 13 and older. We have configured AdMob to serve non-personalized ads where required by region (GDPR, COPPA), and we do not knowingly target the app at children under 13. If you believe a child has interacted with the app in a way that requires our attention, contact thegeniusduke@gmail.com.

8. Your rights

Because the app itself collects no personal data, there is no app-side personal data for us to access, correct, or delete. You may at any time:

Change your ad-consent choice: in-app Settings → Ad privacy settings
Reset or delete your Advertising ID: device Settings → Privacy → Ads
Reset your statistics: in-app Settings → Reset statistics
Clear all local data: device Settings → Apps → Just Yahtzee → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall

For data processed by Google for ads or purchases, use your Google Account privacy controls.

9. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. We will never start collecting personal data ourselves without your explicit consent, communicated through a prominent in-app notice.
